Statements such as in the table below or the table shown on page 78 should not be used. If you are citing data from a table or figure you can use the typical APA Style approach to in-text citations eg Lastname year p. The numbering of figures does not impact the numbering of tables or equations but each category is numbered independently eg if you have three figures and then a table that table is still Table I not Table IV.
