Area Rug Under Dining Table Or Not. In our current house theres no rug under the table. Personally I like rugs under tables.
In this sense it would be nice to separate the two areas visually with two different rugs. As a solution I am in the process of creating an area rug with beautiful mosaic tile. Without the rug this dining room would completely white.
When we moved into our present house 13 years ago I put a rug under the dining room table.
The dining room opens to the living room. Mid-century furniture can be really lovely but its also quitebrown. The geometric rug with its fuchsia and orange detailing really brings the dining area here to life. So the dining table will be relatively close to the living area.
